We had a frightfully good time at ladies drawing night this week.
Guests delighted in a wicked feast of mouldy cheeses and stale bread, with a few cockroaches here and there to add extra crunch.
Our bloody sangria went down a treat. A simple potion for those who are brave enough to try it at home.
1 bottle red wine
1 bottle sparkling lemonade
1 orange peeled, quartered and sliced
1 pink lady apple, core removed, quartered and sliced
2 white nectarines, roughly diced
1 white peach, roughly diced
Allow wine and fruit to marinade for 1-2 hours. Add sparkling lemonade when ready to serve. Place a couple of ice cubes in a glass and ladle over the sangria.
Spooky florals included orange kangaroo paws, purple salvia and lime coloured native protea.
The illustrations were ghastly. All in all a devastating success.
